| Description |
The work shall include, but not be limited to rehabilitation of the Existing Inbound and Outbound Light Rail stations at Lafayette Square. Demolition and disposal of the existing steel structure and roof canopy. Reconstruction of the steel structure, roof canopy, station amenities, resurfacing of the existing concrete elevated platforms, and installation of new screens, benches, railings, and pavement. |

The Contract Documents may be examined in the 7th Floor Conference Room, 181 Ellicott Street, Buffalo, New York 14203 or on the NFTA’s Engineering Branch website at www.nftaengineering.com. Online registration is required to become a Document Holder and obtain Contract Documents. Copies of the Contract Documents are available for $0 and may be requested from Cindy Cirbus at 716-855-7342 or fax 716-855-7447 or downloaded from the NFTA’s Engineering Branch website. Requests may be accompanied by certified check, cashier’s check or postal money order drawn in favor of the NFTA. This sum is non-refundable. The Contract Documents may be picked up Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to Noon and 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., or sent via courier billed to the requester.

The NFTA reserves the right to waive irregularities, to reject any or all bids and to extend the bidding period.
Bid security must accompany each bid and must be in an amount not less than ten percent of the total bid price if the base bid exceeds $50,000.00. Bid security may be submitted prior to bid opening either electronically utilizing Surety2000 at www.surety2000.com, or delivered to the NFTA in an opaque sealed envelope. Details for electronic submission are provided on the NFTA’s Engineering Branch website. In the event a bidder utilizes an offline bid but provides bid security electronically the electronic bid bond number must be submitted with the offline bid.
The Contractor shall perform not less than 30% of the Work with its own forces.
The time of completion for the project is 578 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed.
Liquidated damages will be assessed against the Contractor for its failure to complete the project within the time specified. See specification 01 11 00 Summary of Work.
A Pre-Bid Conference will be held February 10, 2026 at 10:00am at the MTC, 1st Floor Conference Room, 181 Ellicott Street, Buffalo, New York 14203.
