Description The Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority (NFTA) owner and operator of the NFTA-Metro, invites interested Consultants to submit a technical proposal that have the requisite, demonstrable competence, and experience in architectural, engineering, and other professional services for the design, construction monitoring, and design support services during construction for the planned rehabilitation to the stations entitled “LRRT – Panel Liner Rehabilitation Phase 4”. Qualified firms both singly or in teams must have the requisite, demonstrated competence and experience in and a thorough knowledge of the required architectural and engineering services required for the Project.

The project work requires full architectural and engineering services including, but not limited to, survey, precast or in-situ tunnel liner systems, civil site plan development, soils/foundation engineering, utility design and coordination (power, communications, internet), architectural design (structure design, graphics and renderings / Models / Photography), structural design and retrofitting, structural evaluation and inspection, water filtration evaluation and repair, electrical (power distribution, communications including video surveillance), and fire protection. Qualified firms may be required to demonstrate experience and a plan to implement specialized software for real-time design, construction administration, and inspection of the project. Proposers must demonstrate their qualifications to execute projects that include the Scope of Work Elements in Att. B, Section II, and the Tasks outlined in Att. B, Section IV, V, and V.

This project shall produce the designs needed to replace the panel liners at the tunnel-like stations of the NFTA LRRT system. The designs will include the analysis needed to prioritize the work between the different tunnel-like underground stations, and the analysis of lining solutions different than the in-kind replacement of the existing panels.

Proposals received after the date and time specified above for opening shall be considered late proposals and, therefore, shall not be opened and/or considered for award.

The Consultant shall perform not less than 50% of the work with its own forces.

The time of completion for the project is 168 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed.

The established MBE, WBE and SDVOB goals are 0.0%, 10.0%, and 6.0% respectively.
