The Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority (“NFTA”) will receive bids on a general contract for the Niagara Falls International Airport - Airfield Guidance Sign and Navigational Aid Rehabilitation, Project Number 12NA1903.
The Work of this project provides for the removal and replacement of all existing airfield illuminated guidance signs and modifications to facilitate runway closure work for Runway 10R-28L. Refer to the Contract Drawings, Project Manual and Technical Specifications for additional information. |

Online registration is required to become a Plan Holder and obtain Contract Documents. Copies of the Contract Documents are available at no cost and may be requested from Cindy Cirbus at 716-855-7342 or fax 716-855-7447 or downloaded from the NFTA’s Engineering Branch website. The Contract Documents may be picked up or sent via courier billed to the requester.

The NFTA reserves the right to waive irregularities, to reject any or all bids and to extend the bidding period.
Bid security must accompany each bid and must be in an amount not less than ten percent of the total bid price if the base bid exceeds $50,000.00. Bid security may be submitted prior to bid opening either electronically utilizing Surety2000 at www.surety2000.com or delivered to the NFTA in an opaque sealed envelope. Details for electronic submission are provided on the NFTA’s Engineering Branch website. In the event a bidder utilizes an offline bid but provides bid security electronically the electronic bid bond number must be submitted with the offline bid.
The Contractor shall perform not less than 25% of the work with its own forces.
Refer to Technical Specification Section 01 11 00 “Summary of Work” for additional time constraints and interim milestones associated with this project.
Liquidated damages will be assessed against the Contractor for its failure to complete the project within the time specified as described in Technical Specification Section 01 11 00 “Summary of Work”.
A Pre-Bid Conference will be held on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at the Niagara Falls International Airport (NFIA), second floor administrative offices Conference room, 2035 Niagara Falls Blvd., Niagara Falls, NY 14304
The NFTA goals for this procurement is 17% DBE.
