| Description |
fiogf49gjkf0d This Interior Floor Rehabilitation contract consists of three NFTA projects; Interior Floor Slab Repairs (15MG0703), Trench Drain Rehabilitation (15MG0611), and Service Pit Repairs (15MG0612). The work includes: full and partial depth rehabilitation of existing interior concrete pavement, removal of designated trench drains and replacement with new drainage piping and structures with round covers, and reconstruction of the service pit covers. Contract requires provisions for maintenance and protection of the work within phased and staged construction operations in order to maintain daily bus operations. The contract work is conducted at two locations and is broken into a phase for each location. Phase One work is at Cold Spring bus garage. Phase two work is a Frontier bus garage. Phase one completion precedes work for phase two. |

The Contract Documents may be examined in the 7th Floor Conference Room, 181 Ellicott Street, Buffalo, New York 14203 or on the NFTA’s Engineering Branch website at www.nftaengineering.com. Online registration is required to become a Plan Holder and obtain Contract Documents. Copies of the Contract Documents are available for $50 and may be requested from Judy Reeves at 716-855-7342 or fax 716-855-7447 or downloaded from the NFTA’s Engineering Branch website. Requests may be accompanied by certified check, cashier’s check or postal money order drawn in favor of the NFTA. This sum is non-refundable. The Contract Documents may be picked up Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to Noon and 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., or sent via courier billed to the requester.

The NFTA reserves the right to waive irregularities, to reject any or all bids and to extend the bidding period.
Bid security must accompany each bid and must be in an amount not less than ten percent of the total bid price if the base bid exceeds $50,000.00. Bid security may be submitted prior to bid opening either electronically utilizing Surety2000 at www.surety2000.com, or delivered to the NFTA in an opaque sealed envelope. Details for electronic submission are provided on the NFTA’s Engineering Branch website. In the event a bidder utilizes an offline bid but provides bid security electronically the electronic bid bond number must be submitted with the offline bid.
The Contractor shall perform not less than 25% of the work with its own forces.
The time of completion for the project is 315 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed.
Time restrictions and liquidated damages apply as specified in the contract documents.
A Pre-Bid meeting will be held on October 15, 2008, at 10:00 am at the Cold Spring Garage facility in the second floor conference room. Cold Spring Garage is located at the intersection of Main Street and Harriet Tubman Way (Michigan Avenue) in the City of Buffalo.
