Description The NFTA seeks qualified Contractors to submit proposals that meet the minimum acceptable criteria for a term service contract for all NFTA facilities’ electric power systems (110 volts and higher) for a five year term.

The Contractor shall provide on-call electrical service for emergency repairs, non-emergency repairs, preventative maintenance, small projects, power monitoring, troubleshooting, diagnostic testing, inspections, upgrades and rehabilitation. On call service shall include, but not be limited to, labor, supervision, tools, materials, equipment, delivery, mobilization and insurance. All Contractor work shall comply with all applicable state and federal codes and performed by and electrician licensed in New York State.

Term service contracts will be awarded to multiple qualified and responsive Contractors in each of the four business areas: Aviation, Metro Bus, Metro Rail, and Transportation Centers/Property. A Contractor must provide a proposal for a specific business area. A Contractor may submit a specific proposal for each business area of interest. In the event a Contractor submits proposals for two or more business areas, the NFTA reserves the right to evaluate and award independently.

Buy Bid Docs at The Request for Proposals (RFP) may be examined in the 7th Floor Conference Room, 181 Ellicott Street, Buffalo, New York 14203. Copies of the RFP are available at no charge and shall be requested from Cindy Cirbus at 716-855-7342 or fax 716-855-7447 and can be downloaded from the Authority's Engineering website at www.nftaengineering.com. The RFP may be picked up Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to Noon and 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., or sent via courier billed to the requester. Document Holders shall register “on-line” at the Authority's Engineering website at www.nftaengineering.com under this Project prior to obtaining the RFP.

Proposals must be in a .pdf format in files no larger than 10 MB. File names must adhere to the following naming convention: NFTA RFP. No._company name_Business Area_##_of_##.pdf. For example: 51XX25 ##_Company Name_Aviation_1_of_1.pdf. Business area is further describe in the RFP. If the electronic proposal is 15MB in size, it will have to be separated into two files each no larger than 10MB

Proposals received after the date and time specified above for opening shall be considered late proposals and, therefore, shall not be opened and/or considered for award.

A Pre-Proposal Conference is scheduled for 10:00AM February 21, 2025 on the 1st Floor Conference Room at 181 Ellicott Street, Buffalo, New York 14203.
