| Description |
The work for this project provides for the furnishing of all labor, materials, appliances, tools, equipment and plant, and the performing of all work in accordance with the plans and specifications within the bid documents.
Base bid work shall include, but is not limited to the following: Installation of new electric and gas services; Installation of new drainage; excavation, backfill, final grading of new buried utilities; installation of new asphalt, concrete pavement, curbing and fueling islands; re-grading of site to accommodate the new work; installation of new canopy building; and miscellaneous on-site removal work and circuit connections within the main bus garage. |

The Contract Documents may be examined in the 7th Floor Conference Room, 181 Ellicott Street, Buffalo, New York 14203 or on the NFTA’s Engineering Branch website at www.nftaengineering.com. Online registration is required to become a Plan Holder and obtain Contract Documents. Copies of the Contract Documents are available and may be requested from Judy Reeves at 716-855-7342 or fax 716-855-7447 or downloaded from the NFTA’s Engineering Branch website. The Contract Documents may be picked up Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to Noon and 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., or sent via courier billed to the requester.

The NFTA reserves the right to waive irregularities, to reject any or all bids and to extend the bidding period.
Bid security must accompany each bid and must be in an amount not less than ten percent of the total bid price if the base bid exceeds $50,000.00. Bid security may be submitted prior to bid opening either electronically utilizing Surety2000 at www.surety2000.com, or delivered to the NFTA in an opaque sealed envelope. Details for electronic submission are provided on the NFTA’s Engineering Branch website. In the event a bidder utilizes an offline bid but provides bid security electronically the electronic bid bond number must be submitted with the offline bid.
The Contractor shall perform not less than 30% of the work with its own forces.
The time of completion for the project is 250 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. Liquidated damages in the amount of $2,500 per calendar day will be assessed against the Contractor for its failure to complete the project within the time specified.
Disadvantage Business Enterprise (DBE) participation is encouraged.
