Description The project continues the underground tunnel segment rail and rail fasteners replacement. This project concentrates on two areas; inbound track one University station tunnel bulkhead inbound through Lasalle station, and the track two outbound University station curve.
The work includes; rail condition assessment, fastener condition assessment, supporting floating slab condition assessment, LaSalle and Humboldt Hospital ventilation shaft tunnel crown repairs, presenting design rational prioritizing replacement alternatives,and identifying remaining useful life. Construction document preparation which will include:
• Direct fixation fastener and pad assembly replacement
• Rail replacement
• Selective floating concrete pad replacements (LaSalle Station)
• Selective floating concrete pad refurbishments
• Tunnel Crown Repairs
• Construction phasing
• Bid Phase services

Buy Submittal Docs at The Request for Proposals (RFP) may be examined in the 7th Floor Conference Room, 181 Ellicott Street, Buffalo, New York 14203. Copies of the RFP are available at no charge and shall be requested from Cindy Cirbus at 716-855-7342 or fax 716-855-7447 and can be downloaded from the Authority's Engineering website at www.nftaengineering.com. The RFP may be picked up Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to Noon and 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., or sent via courier billed to the requester. Document Holders shall register “on-line” at the Authority's Engineering website at www.nftaengineering.com under this Project prior to obtaining the RFP.

Paper proposals will not be accepted.

Proposal shall be submitted on the NFTA Engineering website at www.nftaengineering.com.

Proposals are preferred in a .pdf format in files no larger than 10 MB. File names must adhere to the following naming convention:
31LU1721_company name_##_of_##.pdf
For example: If the electronic proposal is 15MB in size, it will have to be separated into two files each no larger than 10MB. The file name for the first file would look like the following example:

31LU1721_XYZ Consultants_01_of_02.pdf

Proposals received after the date and time specified above for opening shall be considered late proposals and, therefore, shall not be opened and/or considered for award.
The prim3e consultant shall perform not less than 50% of the work with its own forces.
The time of completion for the project is 365 working days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed.

WBE Participation requirement is 10%
