| Description |
The project objective is to replace the built up membrane roof system on the passenger terminal building at the Buffalo Niagara International Airport. The total estimated roof area is 247,000 SF. The roof elevation varies from 30’-0” to 70’-0” above grade and is sloped in various locations. The scope of work for this project will be to develop bid documents to replace the roof and to assist the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority (NFTA) with the bid process as per the Request for Proposal (RFP) documents.

The Request for Proposals (RFP) may be examined in the 7th Floor Conference Room, 181 Ellicott Street, Buffalo, New York 14203. Copies of the RFP are available at no charge and shall be requested from Judy Reeves at 716-855-7342 or fax 716-855-7447 and can be downloaded from the Authority's Engineering website at www.nftaengineering.com. The RFP may be picked up Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to Noon and 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., or sent via courier billed to the requester. Document Holders shall register “on-line” at the Authority's Engineering website at www.nftaengineering.com under this Project prior to obtaining the RFP.

Proposals will be accepted via online (electronic) submission only.
Paper proposals will not be accepted.
Proposal shall be submitted on the NFTA Engineering website at www.nftaengineering.com.

Proposals must be in a .pdf format in files no larger than 10 MB. File names must adhere to the following naming convention:
31BT1704_company name_##_of_##.pdf
For example: If the electronic proposal is 15MB in size, it will have to be separated into two files each no larger than 10MB. The file name for the first file would look like the following example:
31BT1704_XYZ Consultants_01_of_02.pdf
Proposals received after the date and time specified above for opening shall be considered late proposals and, therefore, shall not be opened and/or considered for award.
The time of completion for the project is 170 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed.
Minority & Women Business Enterprise (MWBE) and Service Disable Veteran Owned Business (SDVOB) participation is encouraged. Participation goals are as follows: MBE is 15%, WBE is 15% and SDVOB is 6%.
A Pre-Proposal Conference is scheduled for March 1, 2017 at 9:00AM. It will be held in the 7th Floor conference room at 181 Ellicott Street, Buffalo NY 14203.
