Description The Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority, NFTA, will receive bids on a general Niagara Falls International Airport airside pavement maintenance project. The project will be implemented under two (2) separate Notices to Proceed (NTP-1 and NTP-2) in two (2) years as set forth in the Contract Documents. The Work is constructed over the two (2) contract years, Contract Year #1 2017 and Contract Year #2 2018. Each contract year will be initiated with a separate Notice to Proceed (NTP-1 and NTP-2) and have a unique time of completion.
This project's work location is the Old Terminal Apron between Terminal Gate 4 and Taxiway H. Work is primarily apron pavement reconstruction, both full and partial depth Portland Cement Concrete (PCC) pavement repairs. The work generally involves; PCC pavement full depth saw cutting, PCC pavement removal and disposal, construct new subbase, install dowels, construct PCC pavement, joint sealing and pavement markings, and partial depth repairs using rapid set polymer concrete repair material.
Time restrictions apply as specified in the contract documents.

Online registration is required to become a Document Holder and obtain Contract Documents. Copies of the Contract Documents are available for $25 and may be requested from Judy Reeves at 716-855-7342 or fax 716-855-7447 or downloaded from the NFTA’s Engineering Branch website. Requests may be accompanied by company check, certified check, cashier’s check or postal money order drawn in favor of the NFTA. This sum is non-refundable. The Contract Documents may be picked up Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to Noon and 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., or sent via courier billed to the requester.

Bid security must accompany each bid and must be in an amount not less than ten percent of the total bid price if the base bid exceeds $50,000.00. Bid security may be submitted prior to bid opening either electronically utilizing Surety2000 at www.surety2000.com, or delivered to the NFTA in an opaque sealed envelope. Details for electronic submission are provided on the NFTA’s Engineering Branch website. In the event a bidder utilizes an offline bid but provides bid security electronically the electronic bid bond number must be submitted with the offline bid.

The Contractor shall perform not less than 50% of the work with its own forces.
Subcontracting goals: 15%MBE,15%WBE,6%SDVOB

The time of completion for the project is specified in the Contract Documents. Liquidated damages will be assessed against the Contractor for its failure to complete the project within the time specified.

A Pre-Bid conference will be held on February 7, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. at the Niagara Falls International Airport, in the New Terminal conference room located at 2035 Niagara Falls Boulevard , Niagara Falls, New York 14304.
