The Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority (NFTA) will receive proposals for the furnishing of direct fixation rail fasteners for the Authority’s light rail transit system. The Manufacturer will be responsible for providing all engineering, design, testing, materials, specialty installation tools, manufacturing, components, furnishing, documentation, and warranty support.

Copies of the RFP are available at no charge and shall be requested from Judy Reeves at 716-855-7342 or fax 716-855-7447 and can be downloaded from the Authority's Engineering website at The RFP may be picked up Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to Noon and 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., or sent via courier billed to the requester. Plan Holders shall register “on-line” at the Authority's Engineering website at under this Project prior to obtaining the RFP.

Proposal shall be submitted on the NFTA Engineering website at This website is primarily used to receive bids for capital projects; any reference to bid in the website will be synonymous with proposal.

Proposals received after the date and time specified above for opening shall be considered late proposals and, therefore, shall not be opened and/or considered for award.
The Contractor shall perform not less than 50% of the work with its own forces.
Milestone durations apply effective beginning with the NTP.
