Description The Buffalo Niagara International Airport is upgrading its 1997 IED public address/paging system to a traditional zone-based, push-to-talk paging digital system. This project shall replace the existing audio public address system throughout the airport facility with a network based, Integrated Public Address Paging System (IPAS). The new system should expand the functionality of current system in supporting expanded feature set critical to airport operations such as visual paging capabilities, multiple language support and ADA compliance. The existing Flight Information Display (FIDS) monitors will be used to display visual paging messages.

Buy Submittal Docs at The Request for Proposals (RFP) may be examined in the 7th Floor Conference Room, 181 Ellicott Street, Buffalo, New York 14203. Copies of the RFP are available at no charge and shall be requested from Judy Reeves at 716-855-7342 or fax 716-855-7447 and can be downloaded from the Authority's Engineering website at www.nftaengineering.com. The RFP may be picked up Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to Noon and 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., or sent via courier billed to the requester. Document Holders shall register “on-line” at the Authority's Engineering website at www.nftaengineering.com under this Project prior to obtaining the RFP.

Paper proposals will not be accepted.

Proposal shall be submitted on the NFTA Engineering website at www.nftaengineering.com.

Proposals are preferred in a .pdf format in files no larger than 10 MB. File names must adhere to the following naming convention:
21BT1604_company name_##_of_##.pdf
For example: If the electronic proposal is 15MB in size, it will have to be separated into two files each no larger than 10MB. The file name for the first file would look like the following example:

21BT1604_XYZ Consultants_01_of_02.pdf

Proposals received after the date and time specified above for opening shall be considered late proposals and, therefore, shall not be opened and/or considered for award.
The Contractor shall perform not less than 50% of the work with its own forces.
The time of completion for the project is 150 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed.

30% MWBE participation is encouraged.
