Description |
The Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority (NFTA) owner and operator of the Buffalo Niagara International Airport (BNIA), invites interested consulting teams to submit a technical proposal from firms that have the requisite, demonstrable competence and experience for construction monitoring (CM) of the planned Baggage Claim Expansion Project entitled “BNIA - Baggage Claim Expansion”. Qualified firms both singly or in teams must have the requisite, demonstrated competence and experience in and a thorough knowledge of the required architectural and engineering construction monitoring services required for the Project. Qualified firms must demonstrate service competency expertise in construction administration, and commissioning.
The project will be implemented by a general construction contract. The construction contract 10BT1516 will soon be released for bid. The Project consists of a build out of a two-level expansion to the existing passenger terminal with upgrades to existing passenger terminal space. The 1st floor Arrivals level expansion is approximately 45,000 SF and the 2nd floor Departures level expansion is approximately 30,000 SF. |

The Request for Proposals (RFP) may be examined in the 7th Floor Conference Room, 181 Ellicott Street, Buffalo, New York 14203. Copies of the RFP are available at no charge and shall be requested from Cindy Cirbus at 716-855-7342 or fax 716-855-7447 and can be downloaded from the Authority's Engineering website at www.nftaengineering.com. The RFP may be picked up Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to Noon and 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., or sent via courier billed to the requester. Document Holders shall register “on-line” at the Authority's Engineering website at www.nftaengineering.com under this Project prior to obtaining the RFP.

Proposals will be accepted via online (electronic) submission only.
Paper proposals will not be accepted.
Proposal shall be submitted on the NFTA Engineering website at www.nftaengineering.com.

Proposals are preferred in a .pdf format in files no larger than 10 MB. File names must adhere to the following naming convention:
NFTA Proj. No._company name_##_of_##.pdf
For example: If the electronic proposal is 15MB in size, it will have to be separated into two files each no larger than 10MB. The file name for the first file would look like the following example:
32BT1516_XYZ Consultants_01_of_02.pdf
Proposals received after the date and time specified above for opening shall be considered late proposals and, therefore, shall not be opened and/or considered for award.
The Contractor shall perform not less than 50% of the work with its own forces.
The consultant services Minority and Women Owned Business participation goal is 30%, 24% MBE and 6% WBE, and 4% for Service Disabled Veteran Owner Businesses (SDVOB).
