Description The Work of this project provides for the furnishing of all labor, materials, appliances, tools, equipment and plant, and the performing of all Work in accordance with the specifications and drawings, with exception of work that is expressly and specifically not included in the project.
The project consists of one (1) contract.

Project Scope:
The demolition and removal of an existing two story residential house/office. The building is a wood framed construction with a full height basement with cast in place concrete walls.

Work includes:
• Removal and disposal of existing two story wood framed house and all
remaining contents
• Removal of foundation (basement) walls and concrete floor slab
• Removal and legal disposal of segregated waste, including but not limited to,
paints, fluorescent bulbs and ballast, household cleaners, refrigerants and
electronic equipment.
• Abandonment of building electrical, water, sanitary sewer, and gas services
in accordance with utility owners and local jurisdiction requirements.
• Removal of decorative stone sidewalks from parking lot to house porch.
• Tree and stump removal
• Removal of pylon sign structures and foundations.
• Installation of soil, topsoil and sod.
• Abatement and disposal of asbestos containing materials.

Copies of the Contract Documents are available for $25 and may be requested from Cindy Cirbus at 716-855-7342 or fax 716-855-7447 or downloaded from the NFTA’s Engineering Branch website. Requests may be accompanied by company check, certified check, cashier’s check or postal money order drawn in favor of the NFTA. This sum is non-refundable. The Contract Documents may be picked up Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to Noon and 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., or sent via courier billed to the requester.

Special Instructions The NFTA reserves the right to waive irregularities, to reject any or all bids and to extend the bidding period.
Bid security must accompany each bid and must be in an amount not less than ten percent of the total bid price if the base bid exceeds $50,000.00. Bid security may be submitted prior to bid opening either electronically utilizing Surety2000 at, or delivered to the NFTA in an opaque sealed envelope. Details for electronic submission are provided on the NFTA’s Engineering Branch website. In the event a bidder utilizes an offline bid but provides bid security electronically the electronic bid bond number must be submitted with the offline bid.

The Contractor shall perform not less than 50% of the work with its own forces.
The time of completion for the project is 45 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. Liquidated damages in the amount of $1,000 per calendar day will be assessed against the Contractor for its failure to complete the project within the time specified.

The percentage goal of Disadvantaged Business Enterprise participation in the project shall be 3.7%.

A Prebid Conference will be held on June 5, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at 66 Cayuga Road, Cheektowaga, New York.
