The Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority (NFTA) will receive proposals for the furnishing of direct fixation rail fasteners for the Authority’s light rail transit system. The Manufacturer will be responsible for providing all engineering, design, testing, materials, specialty installation tools, manufacturing, components, furnishing, documentation, and warranty support.

Buy Submittal Docs at The Request for Proposals (RFP) may be examined in the 7th Floor Conference Room, 181 Ellicott Street, Buffalo, New York 14203. Copies of the RFP are available at no charge and shall be requested from Judy Reeves at 716-855-7342 or fax 716-855-7447 and can be downloaded from the Authority's Engineering website at www.nftaengineering.com. The RFP may be picked up Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to Noon and 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., or sent via courier billed to the requester. Plan Holders shall register “on-line” at the Authority's Engineering website at www.nftaengineering.com under this Project prior to obtaining the RFP.

Special Instructions Proposals will be accepted via online (electronic) submission only.
Paper proposals will not be accepted.

Proposal shall be submitted on the NFTA Engineering website at www.nftaengineering.com. This website is primarily used to receive bids for capital projects; any reference to bid in the website will be synonymous with proposal.

Proposals must be in a .pdf format in files no larger than 10 MB. File names must adhere to the following naming convention:
25LU1615_company name_##_of_##.pdf
For example: If the electronic proposal is 15MB in size, it will have to be separated into two files each no larger than 10MB. The file name for the first file would look like the following example:

25LU1615_company name _01_of_02.pdf

Proposals received after the date and time specified above for opening shall be considered late proposals and, therefore, shall not be opened and/or considered for award.
The Contractor shall perform not less than 50% of the work with its own forces.
Milestone durations apply effective beginning with the NTP.
